Paris pit stop
City cycling tour
We heartily recommend touring Paris by bike. Opt for a half-day, meandering tour of the city. Jovial tour guides from Café le Peleton, present a fascinating and entertaining account of the history of Paris and of France no less. Breeze by architectural icons such as the Louvre, Palais Royale and Place des Vosges. Cap it off by cycling along the banks of the Seine, taking in the quintessential Parisian atmosphere.

Déjeuner at Café de Flore
The St. Germain institution first opened her doors in 1887, later becoming a favoured haunt of artists including Picasso, Camus, and titans of fashion including Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. Café de Flore remains the nonpareil place to relax over classic bistro fare whilst soaking up the essence of Parisian life.
- Café de Flore, 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006.
Fondation Louis Vuitton
Fondation Louis Vuitton
Encased in beautiful Frank Gehry architecture, housing exciting permanent and temporary exhibits, you won’t want to miss a stop here. The fondation’s mission is to celebrate French and international contemporary art and the cavernous yet intimate space hosts a broad range of inter-disciplinary events. Refuel at the excellent Restaurant Le Frank.
- Fondation Louis Vuitton, 8, Avenue du Mahatma Gandhi Bois de Boulogne, 75116.
Musée de Cluny, Musée National du Moyen Âge
Visit the lesser-known Musée National du Moyen Âge and marvel at the truly breathtaking collection of six medieval tapestries: “La Dame à la licorne” (The Lady and the Unicorn). The museum houses a Roman bath area and many rare and interesting artefacts from antiquity. Usually uncrowded, the museum is the perfect sojourn for a rainy day.
- Musée de Cluny, 28 rue du Sommerard, 75005.
